Great spot to try a vast variety of Scotch . The staff is very nice and helpful and the food is delicious. MUST TRY - The Flight of Scotch - and get to try 4 different kinds of Scotch .
$6/lb. Wings on Thursdays! big coated wings (very nice, flaky batter), can get a variety of sauces either tossed or on the side. great value , my co-workers and I go every week! good beers too.
Try the barking squirrel.. you'll love it.. and on Sundays you get a choice of nachos , wings or patato wedges when you buy a pitcher .. ;) win win..
Wings were the best I've had anywhere in Halifax so far, the sauce isn't great. Friend had bangers and mash which was very delicious and the bangers were juicy :D
The skillets were a very pleasant surprise when hungover.
The blackened haddock friday special is actually very very good. Highly recommended!
They have a really good burger . Its really just a simple burger with (optional) bacon & Cheese , but it tastes like it was cooked on a cast-iron pan (which gives great flavour IMO). Decent Beer too!
Great burger , went well with a Garrison Raspberry Wheat ale !
Order a pint of Garrison Nut Brown Ale . You won't be disappointed.
Updated photo with patato wedges...
Order a pint of Garrison Nut Brown. You shall not be disappointed.
Lousy service and atmosphere, even when it's really quiet . The scotch selection is alright and not outlandishly priced, but definitely avoid the Tuesday night open mic .
This bar has character. And the food is tasty. The downside is the higher than average price, perhaps not worth the entire extra amount.
Sweet potato and cinnamon soup...wow! So good!
great Scotch
Shitty service here tonight, usually its half decent.
The service is mediocre at best! Go somewhere else, there's loads of other spots
If you like poorly mixed mayonaise and curry powder order the chips and dip .
Small and cozy
Love the 5.99 weekend brunch. Can't go wrong for cheap steak and eggs with a spicy Caesar. - Nicole LeBlanc
Had a key lime martini, Manhattan and an Old Fashioned. All were top-notch. Pineapple prosciutto nachos are excellent. Service is spot-on. Great live music. - Zach R
