The go-tos at Liliha Bakery: Coco Puffs (very famous) on the bakery side and the toasted (& jellied ) butter rolls that comes with any meal on the diner side.
They have cakes , cupcakes , breads and puffs! Seems like puffs are the popular one. I got banana cupcake(the cream? on top was so yummyy) but I had a bite of green tea puff as well and was so good too!
Their pastry is amazing! Everything is fresh and delicious. The seated area gets packed fast, but you can always get it to go. Service is fine, their ladies are the sweetest. Oh, breakfast is 24hrs !
If you have a chance, sit at the FAR END of the long counter. You'll see food getting microwaved (chili , stew , spaghetti , SAIMIN!!!). I order the fresh cooked stuff now: omelette , pancakes , etc.
I usually ended here after finish at work at Midnight or 4 am in the morning those are the best time to get some small kine home cook grindz with no crowds due to everyone is already at home.. lol
Besides regular coco or cream puffs , they also make Green Tea cream puffs . Green Tea cupcakes & jelly rolls are great too. Try malasada with sweet azuki bean paste if you like Japanese an donuts ;)
The rich, buttery, sweet bread French Toast visits me in dreams, calling me back to enjoy its sinful deliciousness.
Have to echo the recommendation of the loco moco . Home cooked local food. The locals to your left and right will be happy to discuss this eateries history. Eat up and talk it up.
Everyone must try the poi donuts . If you like chewy textures. Service felt efficient. I must go back to try their food. Cocoa puffs are great, too.
Take a number when you get to the bakery . Try their green tea or coco cream puffs ! Both are delicious. Skip on the scones though, they were disappointing :(
All meals at the counter come with delicious butter rolls. Also, check out the taro rolls for a snack to go.
They have frozen Cocoa Puffs and frozen Green Tea Puff in the freezer section of the store. Ready to be purchased on the way to the airport .
Baked piece of heaven. Try the coco puffs and the green tea coco puffs ! The Lilikoi malasada too!
Coco puffs are the most popular, but I prefer the green tea puffs. If you get the chance, order their pancakes and grilled butter rolls served with hot pink guava jelly .
Number one for best cream filled cocoa puffs . They also have a small diner that severs some mean grubs. One stop if visiting the islands .
Hole in the wall diner . Counter-seating only. This place reminds me of my childhood. My dad and I used to come here for breakfast a lot. Love the jelly here! -Francine, The Real L Word
Love original cocopuffs . Try Green Tea Cocopuffs . It's good, too. (≧∇≦)
Arrive early this place fills up fast.Eggs were cooked perfectly, pancakes delicious (huge), bacon was a little crisper then I like(minor issue)
(2.5/5) The bakery is right next door to the diner , and is supposed to be known for their poi mochi doughnuts , which I found delightfully chewy, but a little too sweet.
This is a Simple Deviled Egg Sandwich with Tomato , Lettuce, with Sweet Slice Pickles is best to place inside of the sandwich to .. Yummmm
Perfection, best bakery on the island by far. Good prices, even better sweets! Will come back when we return to paradise.
this place is just amazing. the only downside is its usually packed so its hard to find seating, but waiting for a space on the counter is so worth it.
I find the Cinnamon Twists can be soft and chewy (not crisp) when purchased at 2 am. After all it has been sitting in the display case all day.
The Pastry clerk helping you may remind you that it's called a "Green Tea Puff" since there is NO COCOA or any kind of CHOCOLATE contained in this Puff.
It's Dec 20, 2012 and I've tried the butter roll for the first time. If the world ends tomorrow, I would be completely satisfied with the life I've lived.
Love this combo- hamburger steak and mahi mahi mix
Eat breakfast at the counter any time of the day -- their pancakes are so buttery. Grab a box of their famous Coco Puffs on the way out.
Ono grindz, love the butter rolls, and the hamburger steak is Ono.
Chantilly! Chantilly! CHANTILLY! Cake ! period... (this is also the butter topping on top of the Cocoa Puffs )
Together with Loco moco , try their Hot cake or pancake ! It is one o the rare from scratch pancake joint here.
You must try the hamburger steak one scoop brwn rice with Mac salad gravy over everything. With ofcourse butter rolls and alien jelly
Their diner food should not be overlooked! The pancakes are so fluffy and the butter rolls are drool worthy!
Amazing cocopuffs . Try the chantilly, but you can't go wrong with any flavor!
Green tea puffs were amazing! And mahi mahi sandwich
Loved their cream puffs . Get them to go and eat them while on the plane to make others jealous
Coco puffs! Chantilly cake ! Everything is great. Old skool eating counter.
The waffle is the business. Would come back just for that.

Spaghetti with meat sauce is good~ pancakes are so hot, so soft and so sweet!!
On Sunday, 5/12/13, bakery will be closing at 6 PM; diner at 5:30 PM.
Got Check-in Special spend $10 & get $5 credit on AMEX. Only thing their credit card system down (printed signs everywhere, leads you to believe it will be down for awhile) & they don't accept AMEX?
Chantilly cake was so good!
Stick with the amazing baked goods ; the hot food is loaded with MSG.
Can't beat this original location! 24hrs of deliciousness!
Voted the Best of Honolulu for five years in a row now! Coco puffs to die for
Good breakfast place, fluffy pancakes and butter rolls. Cheap too.
Cocopuffs are what they're known for, but I prefer their green tea puffs.
The current location of Liliha Bakery is in the building where Sam Choy's used to be.
Baked goods are good. Service is terrible. Long wait times on top of rude and incompetent staff . Lady yelled at me 3 times asking if she was holding my order and I said yes each time.
Coco puffs, butter roll, loco moco YUM
Guava filled malasada puffs are so good! Definitely a must try. Try ordering all the flavors so you can try all the unique tastes - Ida Paras
The breakfast pastry is delicious and slightly sweet. The chocolate croissant was flaky and also slightly sweet and the chocolate dome was very good - Mia Ferrer
Tea jelly au lait with whole milk and no ice is my must-have! Cakes are good too. - Glo
