Now I understand why everyone raves about this place. Everything I ate made my eyes roll back (especially the Cochon eggs Benedict ). And the jazz brunch is the icing on the cake ! Do it. DO IT NOW

Very fancy place , so expect the food and service to be outstanding! You must get the bread pudding soufflé !

Porter Mason

Cocktails ("whoa Nellie" and Bloody Mary )were great, shrimp and Tasso henican was spicy and amazing, redfish and tails was incredible. Jazz brunch music was a delight!

Aubrey Littleton

Ask for a "Garden Room" table when making your reservation . At lunch , enjoy a more relaxed dress code, 25¢ martinis , & the classic 3-course menu: turtle soup , quail , & bread pudding soufflé . Amazing!

Nancy Margolis

The best restaurant in New Orleans!! Everything we got was delicious...You must get the pecan pie and bananas foster . The steak and shrimp meals were out of this world! The gumbo was fabulous as well .

Ben K.

Might be a tourist trap but the food is delicious. Get the turtle soup and any creole entree. Bananas foster and chicory coffee for dessert . Head through the kitchen to check out the garden out back.

Connie Chiu

Come for the vibe and era. Wasn't as impressed by the food. We got the shrimp apps, gumbo , ham and bone soup , white bean soup , and beef tenderloin tostada . The baba bread soufflé was amazing tho.

Ariana Voyer

Went here for lunch with my mom while visiting and the .25 martinis and 3-course pre-fixe option were a great deal! Amazing food, service and location.

Angela Z.

Beyond impressed with the hospitality and the delicious food! The attention to detail and near perfect everything was exquisite. Turtle soup and soufflé for the win. Shrimps appetizer also very good.

An amazing, classic southern dining experience. The service is impeccable and that bread pudding soufflé is killer! And don't miss the $.025 martinis !

Linda Miklowitz

Very traditional upper-class Southern venue with dress code & many awards. Carefully prepared dishes. Weekend jazz brunch with a 3-course prix fixe around $42 is a good intro. Need reservation .

Christopher Floss

The BEST dining experience in #NewOrleans. Server Robert made it special. Sunday #brunch is AWESOME. Loved the #NOLA #jazz trio. Save room for strawberry shortcake !

Yurij Bryndzia

The less rich 3-courser was perfect. Pumpkin Seed Goat Cheese soup followed by the Pickled Lobster & Avocado Salad and finished by the delightfully refreshing Margarita Mint Sorbet . Just. The. Best.

Anne King

Cocktail with muddled blueberries , citrus , jalapeño infused tequila . Spicy and delish. Soup sampler and bread pudding soufflé musts. Known for their pecan crusted fish for a reason. Service:????

Tino Boehm

That's the place to go if you search for great service and awesome food. Our waiter was out of this world. Food and desert where awesome We even tried a small cup of the turtle soup . Steak / fish ????

This place is steeped in history, hospitality , and perfectly finessed cooking. A really great treat for when you're ready to spend on a fancy dinner (you're expected to dress up for it).

Visited on 11/18/2018. This was a very enjoyable experience with incredible service that is like a well choreographed ballet . I enjoyed my Sazerac cocktail and Waygu beef .

Anna Curran

If you like lobster bisque , get it. Best you will ever have. The soufflé and chocolate top hat are deserts worth every calorie. Also ask to be seated in the Garden Room. Beautiful ambiance. Enjoy!

Colin Lee

Our highlights include the Winter harvest salad ; cheese plate , pecan gulf fish and strawberry short cake . The complimentary bread is great. Reservations are a must

I didn't have an amazing experience at Commander's, but it's an institution. Jazz brunch is an experience, but if you're already doing Preservation Hall you can skip it.

Ricel Almadovar

Order Duck Confit Creole, Chicory Coffee Lacquered Quail , and Creole Bread Pudding Souffle ! Don't forget the 25cents martinis & make sure you have reservations ! Wonderful culinary surprise!

Eating here was near the top of my bucket list and it did not disappoint. Splurge and get the chef's table . The restaurant itself is almost as beautiful as the food. Easily the best meal of my life.

Brad Hager

Beautiful restaurant with a lot of charm, very friendly attentive staff . EVERYTHING IS GOOD here. Loved the eggs Benedict , and the soufflé , great seafood dishes ????

Jeremy Fisher

Surprisingly good food ($.25 martinis , turtle soup , gumbo , Oyster Gratinée, Creole Cochon de Lait “Cassoulet ,” duckfat potatoes ), but go to Galatoire's for atmosphere

Antonello Loddo

Their soufflé , gumbo and seafood are definitely worth the short ride from the French Quarter. Better reserve ahead of time. If price is an issue, try it for lunch .

Paige C

Wonderful restaurant ! Sit outside on the patio . Beautiful setting. Don’t miss the bread pudding !

Cosssette Garcia

Absolutely incredible! Ask for The tasting menú (wear a nice outfit). Truffled egg royale and Crispy pork belly and oysters

Kelsey Anderson

Incredible service. Try the turtle soup , the all of our entrees were fantastic, drink an Evening in Barbados and have Creme Brûlée or the Bread Pudding Soufflé for dessert .

Alyssa

25¢ martini lunch is excellent, with amazing food and service. The gumbo and turtle soup were all table favorites and the risotto was delicious.

Adam S.

So fancy , they put out black napkins if you wear dark clothing . Don't miss jazz brunch and the bread pudding souffle , soft as a cloud.

Dinah Hutson

Make res. Ask for garden room. Great for bdays. $0.25 martinis and prix fixe lunch are all you need to know.

Tina Jain

the wait staff is SO attentive and nice. you will never hD an empty glass of water. beautifully decorated indoors. ask for a walking tour map for after!

Yvette Castro

Unfortunately we got here when they stopped serving food for the afternoon, but we were shown through the kitchen to the bar and had some delicious drinks on the outdoor courtyard

Jenny Mackintosh

The bread pudding is bewitching. Delicious food and drinks (get here for lunch for the 25 cent martinis ), but mind the dress code or they will not let you in: no shorts or t-shirts, no sandals on men.

Edward Forte

Great 3 course lunch , turtle soup , quail , & banana bread souffle . Crawfish gnocchi also very good and 25 cent martinis for lunch

Julia Liu

Feels unnecessarily stuffy with their dress code, given how outdated the decor looks. Jazz brunch musicians don’t play consistently, they only played a few songs. Food is good not great.

Tease your taste buds with Commander’s classic turtle soup , finished with aged sherry . Select fresh fish from the Gulf, shrimp and grits or hand-carved duck .

Leemor Yuravlivker

Completely worth it. Great food and staff . Recommend the grilled fish and shrimp n grits

James Palmer

When making reservations ask to sit upstairs. Take an Uber to get there. Walk the garden district when done. Take street cars back to canal street.

Katie Congleton

$0.25 martinis , the turtle soup and the bread pudding soufflé - all things this place does incredibly well !

Brandi Bruce

Amazing... The chef taste menu is absolutely delicious. Add the wine pairing for the most memorable meal of your life

Jose Sifontes

One of the best restaurants in Nola. A tad expensive but worth it IMO. The turtle soup and the BBQ shrimp are signature dishes.

Michelle

Jazz Brunch on Sundays usually includes a second line around the restaurant . The patio is beautiful, as is any room looking out onto it. And the 25cent Martini Lunch on Fridays is a must.
