Sideling Hill Overlook & Rest Area is a scenic lookout Hancock located in United States.
I-68 (at Mile Marker 74) Hancock , MD 21750 United States
You'll be missing out if you don't stop here. Climb all the way to the top of the stairs for the best view possible.
I've been stopping here on the way to western MD since I was a kid. The views are always beautiful and restrooms nice. The exhibit never seems to be open though.
The first time of I stopped here as a 13yr old, my uncle raced me across the bridge connecting the two rest areas . I suggest you do the same with your co-drivers.
Take the walk to check out the layers of rock exposed when the Interstate was built. And it's a good excuse for a stretch break, too!
In have seen tips that say this rest area is closed or closed in the winter but as if January 2016, it is open
One of my favorite rest stops for a good scenic view !
Perfect place for a rest on I-68, especially if you have dogs.
This is a great rest stop for getting out and walking your dogs.
Walking up to the viewing area is well worth the effort. It's almost sinful that they spent millions building a museum and platform to just keep it closed. Common sense is lacking!
Bathrooms are clean . Nice views .
From heaven
An really impressive look at how a mountain is made. Unfortunately, the rest stop is closed now. However, the view is amazing on a clear day.
Great rest area ! Always clean !!
Very pretty views
This is a good place to stop and look where you've been.
Stop here even if you dont have to use the restroom....Its a really beautiful view .
Rest rooms are clean
Project overleaf

There's a local Vietnam Memorial
Most gorgeous view ever. Will stop here anytime I head east.
Rest area and scenic overlook open.
My favorite place!
There's a hole in the mountain .
