Kansas City is known for producing such greats as Count Basie and Charlie Parker . The museum takes you through the history of jazz and does a good job showcasing this important part of KC culture.

Located in the 18th & Vine Historic Jazz District, this is the place where jazz masters such as Charlie Parker , Count Basie , Big Joe Turner defined the sounds of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s.

A nice museum , but I felt it very lightly covered Jazz and didn't delve too deep into it. Cool seeing Charlie Parker 's Sax.

Stick around after hours when part of the museum transforms into a working jazz club (The Blue Room).
