Bologna, the two towers. Tallest one is called "Asinelli's Tower" and was built to show to the city the power of the noble family who built it. It guards the city from above its 92 meters since 1109.
498 winding, aging steps to the top, and you'll think the whole way up "this can't be safe," which makes it all the more rewarding when you see the view from the top.
Fascinating reward awaits you up there. Medium fitness required. Many narrow wooden stairs. But the view !
Be prepared to walk up 498 steps and be rewarded with fantastic views that have been enjoyed for centuries . I shared the journey with adventurers aged 7 to 70, so you got this!
Amazing to think how long ago these were built. Take your time to learn the history behind this famous Bologna landmark !
Here's the view from the top of its 92 meters. I guess it's worth to pay a visit and climb all its 498 steps , isn't it? ;-)

Amazing view but the stairs up aren’t for everyone! Steep and open up the sides of the tower.
You can buy a ticket and go up the tower, though the superstition says you'd never graduate if you do!
The unintended tilt of these towers is pretty cute . Two towers - not like in the Lord of the rings ;)
The tall one is also leaning, just hard to notice considering the other one is tilting so much
Awesome view . Probably worth the 498 steps to get to the top
I just love this spot. Great to be here all day. Nice stores and restaurants all over.
Great view ! Nice place indeed. Lots of stores around.

Better go first in a group to enjoy a few minutes by yourself on top. After that it gets very crowded
There was no time to visit the inside of the tower. Must return there soon.
There was no time to enjoy these and the other towers the day we were there, but they surely look good.
Nice look from the tower! Good to visit!
The stairs are unnerving but it's not as tall as you think. It's something you have to do if you visit Bologna
