Magellan's Cross is a Christian cross planted by Portuguese, and Spanish explorers as ordered by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines in April 1521.

Did you know: The original Magellan cross is encased inside the wooden cross found at the center of the chapel to protect from people chipping the wood as souvenir.
Well , not really miss half of your life. As with any trip & if ur Catholic it's always a good thing to visit a church first. The Basilica first then go straight and Magellan's Cross is right there.

When we went here there were wooden like scaffold for the structure support, there were some big and minor cracks because of the earthquake that shook visayas region...it still looks amazing though ;)

Magellan traveled from Spain to the Philippines in 1521, he brought with him in a wooden cross . This cross was planted at a place called Sugbu, now Cebu.
Don't let the vendors and beggars harass you. If you're not buying, just keep giving a sturdy "no".
