Here you can find among the finest examples of Italian art : "The Expulsion from the garden of Eden" and the "Tribute Money" by Masaccio in the new revolutionary Reinassence style.
Visit Brancacci at 4:15 sharp (the last entry time) so that you can see the main church (S. Maria del Carmine, which will be dark) when it opens at 5pm. Brancacci requires a ticket but SMdC is free.
Visit the chapel to see the original work of Masaccio . Very impressive! And get the audio tour . Also don’t miss the Last Supper by Allori - which is in one of the rooms outside the chapel.
It’s under restoration and no body tells about it until you get in ! Nothing to see even the whole church was closed, you paid 10€ for just to see 2 walls , nothing worth it ????????????
Filippino Lippi's self-portrait and his portrait of Botticelli on the right wall are as good as Masaccio 's great frescos on the left wall.
The Carmine of Florence church and convent are very old, being founded in the second half of the thirteenth century.
Bellissima!
