Clam Chowder in a bread bowl with a glass of Honig. The soup is very good and the artisanal bread is fantastic. You can have it in the self service mode or full restaurant in the second floor.
Def the best clam chowder in a bread bowl you'll find at fisherman's wharf, grab a small $10 bottle of wine and enjoy outside by the fire If it's a chilly day
I'm so impressed by their breads ! Taste, shape and etc. A must try, calm chowder bread bowl , made of their famous sourdough ! You'll will never regret it. The chowder is not alot, but the bread is.
You can't deny that when the rest of the nation thinks "San Francisco," they think this. You can't argue with warm, hearty chowder in a bread bowl on a chilly summer day by the water. Read more
The clam chowder is a must but the sandwich menu options are equally delicious (if not better). Visited this place twice while in San Fran and had the bacon with cheese sandwich and the beef sandwich .
The best Clam Chowder I ever had in my life. Don't miss it. You can order a small cheese sandwich with it and end it with their amazing desert ( Nutella Waffle )
I love this place and try to stop by every time I am in San Francisco. Kids love the various varieties of bread in fun shapes, and it's a great place to grab a quick lunch or breakfast .
The Cioppino is excellent. A little pricey but packed with plenty of seafood . Get with the crab de-shelled, and take advantage of the limitless sourdough !
Pastries are great. I went there for tea and dessert . Had the apple bar and jasmine tea - both really good. I was disappointed that they only let you sit at a table with a view if you have a meal.
First of all, claw chowder was really good. Secondly, prices are much lower, than in other places in the area.
No words can describe how gorgeous the sourdough at boudin is! The crab and clam chowders are a must. My family tried the chili and were very happy!
Loved the FREE tour of the sourdough bread factory . And then the clam chowder in a bread bowl was amazing and totally worth it.
The best Clam chowder bowl in Fisherman's wharf. Their service is great and their food is too. The large breadbowl feeds two people easily and the petite is perfect for one person.
I've tried the chili cheese bowl (See picture) and it was delicious. The place was a bit crowed but we could catch a table.
The sourdough . It's religious. Get clam chowder in a bread bowl and an Anchor Steam . Then a loaf of two to take home. Traveling? Ask for plastic loaf bags when picking up bread to wrap them up tight!
This place gets hectic around dinner time so it is really hard to find a spot to sit at! Food is so fresh and delicious, but you have to watch out to get a table :)
Buy a sandwich for lunch and then buy a loaf of sourdough to take home! Walk outside next door to the cafe to watch the bread bakers working.
All soups are amazing! But you also should try the tuna fish sandwish and the spring salad ! Awesome! The service is great as well ! The manager Gelcy is really friendly !
Awesome tourist place. Go if you haven't gone before but not the best food for the price range. Cute bread shapes and fun store. Go early before it gets busy, not a lot of seating
Packed, but worth it. Wether you like tomato or clam chowder soup , worth the wait. Think twice about getting the bread bowl . Most is thrown away in this city of the homeless.
I always go for the half & half , sandwiches are amazing and I love the clam chowder . Martha is really personable, amazing customer service.
If you want to have a nice meal try SFO originals -mai tai and cioppino - worth every penny!
Nice bakery to enjoy a sandwich , soup , or even coffee . My fav was the crab ???? soup
Clam chowder in a bread bowl is just as good as you'd hoped it would be. Save your receipt for a dollar off admission to the museum upstairs.
My children's favorite. We walked by daily watching the bread be made at the demonstration window. We enjoy soup in the bread bowls one night for dinner . So yummy!
the bread is worth a try. i don’t eat sourdough bread alone but found myself halfway through it. i don’t remember the full name but it started with garlic .
The wraos are good. French toast is a good option for breakfats and they are good for two. THEY ARE HUGE!! tea and coffee beans is served there
This place is consistently good. The food, the crowd, the service. I like the choose two option with a beer or wine . Best deal in the wharf area.
The Home of Sourdough bread . Just go here and eat everything. Soup in Sourdough bowl and Sourdough French toast .
Sour dough bread , clam chowder in a petite bread bowl , fried calamari and dungeness crab tacos !
Best fish&chips, but the rest is also good if you are into juicy American food with great seafood and lots of cheese .
Its a busy establishment so moving around isn't as comfortable as you'd think but the bread is world class and I think I had the best macaroon of my life. Should have gotten two but hey, whatever.
Avoid. Extra $2 for clam chowder bread bowl than all other SF locations, no table delivery service, served to go requiring self assembly, no fresh pepper/salt grinders , cold butter, cold bread bowl .
This is Boudins SF Crab Sandwich priced 18.99 $, plus tax. Two thin slices of bread , two leaves of lettuce and slices of tomato and some ground up crab meat . For me, an absolute outrage and a rip-off!
OMG !! The best crab soup in bread ever !! So yummy !! And the bread is so delicious !!
Signature dish 'Clam Chowder ' in a chewy bowl of fresh sourdough bread with Californian Pinot Noir - yum!
clam chowder is a must to try????
One of my favorite places in San Francisco. A bit pricey , but the food is good, and the atmosphere is top notch.
California veggie sandwich = utterly delicious. And if you're in the mood for a naughty treat, grab a peanut butter cookie . You won't regret either...

Wow, they are real baking artists ! You can buy a bread croc here! ;-)
Had the almond croissant and the morning bun . They were very good, nothing out of this world, but very good. 8.7/10
Bread bowls filled with goodness. Take the time to look around, neat spot
Make sure to check out the Sourdough Crabs !
Clam chowder is top notch! Love the sourdough bread and the live tourist action
Excellent food! Make sure you keep your receipt. Sometimes they go very fast preparing the food and will forget your order.
Yum! Try the lunch combo so you can try the caesar salad and the chowder . Make sure to get the bread bowl for a little bit more.
If the place is busy and you want food fast come see me down near the back doors(Fishermans warf sign side) I'll huck you up super fast! Look for the Pay Here sign hanging from the roof!
It goes without saying that you must have clam chowder . Also, full menu in upstairs restaurant . Great food, perfect view !
The Boudin Soup is great!!! Ask for the bundle with grilled cheese !!!
Cute breads like boudin. Their chai tea tastes like Christmas. Great coffee and tea! - Shawna Marie
When fresh out of the oven, Best ham and cheese croissant and almond croissant in the city. They cook in small batches with high turnover on the weekends which means everything is delicious and fresh. - Brittany Birdsong
We love: spicy clam, zucchini mushroom, ham & eggs, blueberry pear. - Claudine Co
The sundaes are huge. Share with a friend or two! - Mike Martin
