Great smaller alternative to the Calgary zoo . Not nearly as busy but still lots of animals to see. We got to even hold a Snake.
Be aware that between September and May, the zoo concession only operates on weekends, so if you plan to make a day of it, make sure you bring lunches !
Make sure you check online for the group talks and schedule your visit accordingly. You may get to interact with animals up close!
Great place for kids to interact and see animals up close. They have a train and merry-go-round ride perfect for kids too!

This zoo is perfect for small kids. It's not too big so they can walk the whole zoo without getting tired.
