Tjikini next door is now open at a much later time but thankfully Bakoel Koffie is open early. It's actually a much cozier and wifi here is as good. Definitely my new favorite place to work .

Nasi goreng for days. Ambience is dreamy -playlist is a mix of 50s jukebox & jazzy funk, deco very colonial & effortless, cigarette smoke adding to the old world charm????????this place is magical

I wanted to like this place, and maybe it was an off day. They had construction downstairs which reverberated throughout the cafe . Nice style and feel, but the coffee wasn't that good.

Check out the second floor. They have comic collection and some board games . Cool :)
