Delhi Aerocity falls on Metro Express Line . Last stop is New delhi Rly stn. Go for it. 30 bucks from 1D terminal to metro stn. Best and quick . Every 10 mins there is a bus .

There's always a rush n quesues at counters so be on-time .. also luggage screening iz done at flight counters unlike outside in other airports !!

If u have web checked in, just walk to the bag drop counter of any airline . In fact u can go to the business class counter for a web checked in ticket. Speedily faster !!

If you have just arrived and want to go to T3, come out go right and there is shuttle bus for 30 bucks.To New Delhi City , there is a shuttle to Delhi Aerocity Stn(takes u to NewDelhi Rly Metro)

If you wish to eat opt for the counters immediately after entrance on your left where you get lovely muffins for about 100rs & sandwiches for about 125 rs. Its terribly expensive inside.

Check in early, get chicken and cheese omelette with black coffee from Cafe Delhi Heights, and your day is made. It beats inflight breakfast by miles.

Pizza Hut here serves by the slice. There’s an easy-to-miss Starbucks at the end opposite to the food court . At busy hours the smoking room will kill you if not the cigarettes.

Finally, because of T2 and T3, a lot of flights have been offloaded there and T1 is again looking as an airport then an overcrowded railway station.

If someone has come to pick you : Once you are out of the airport walk towards left and cross two lanes. Then you would reach the pick up point.

If your flight is from terminal 3 and you've reached terminal 1D by mistake, take the lift, go down and take the GMR bus to terminal 3. Its free while the cabbies charge 250

Do self check-in at the kiosks to chose your preferred seat. Budget airlines will charge you for the same if you ask them at the check-in counter.

Take the metro pink line now from domestic T1 terminal instead of taking a shuttle and going to T3 for the airport metro line .

Domestic weight allowance is 15kgs n 7 kg hand carry but if you have onward international ticket in next 7 days, then they allow 30 kg n 7 hand carry.

They allow you to go through the security check with your water bottle full once you prove it is water.. just drink it!

Very inefficient shuttle service between terminals. Impressive that it is mostly women who work as dispatchers for the buses that bring you to the aircraft.

When here after ur done with security check,head directly to laptop stations to resurrect your lappy and mobile device... :-)

Nice airport . Try Fresco 's outlet for brunch . Really awesome.

Watch out for unfair trade practice/bullying...Costas Coffee askin you to buy beverage with your snack . Unbelievable.

Freakishly crowded . One should leave at least a hour or two in advance you never know what can happen.

Terminal 1D is used by Indigo and Spicejet airlines . Water fountain near gate 1/2.

Mocha at 175 and that too cold isnt worth it at Costa money wasted but the smoking zone is a happy zone :)

Avoid booking Indigo if you transferring from international...you have to take shuttle which is about 20 mins drive to travel to Terminal 1D

A better Clean look is back and got a brand new coffee place , it's Starbucks

It's like a railways station. Lots and lots of people and no good sitting arrangement. I can't any difference between Nizamuddin and this airport .

Never miss a connecting flight . esp the Indigo . The officials here are too unfriendly and you will end up buying a new ticket, even if you reach check in counter 1min late than 45 mins..

Take the metro line here (but NOT the Airport Express line )

You need to have good feet to stand for 45in at any embarkation gate

Make sure you carry enough cash, any outlet inside the airport doesn't accept Cards !

Laptop stations are very convenient and duty free is one of the cheapest :)

Lame airport . I wonder why IGI is so hyped. It's just large nothing else. Not enough sitting chairs for waiting passengers, chaos at the counters, utter confusion of different terminals for newbies.

Terminal 1D lounge is accessible via MasterCard, Amex and PriorityPass. Decent place to wait for your flight if its not packed to capacity.

Vaanga Restaurant in the food court is a perfect south indian resto. Name looks like Tamil.

Power sockets on most pillars. Keep your charger with you.

After a long time traveling again and first thing I noticed the food court is closed????

Tandori chicken pizza at pizza hut allows you to eat both Indian and American at the same time :)
