A short cablecar ride away from the very center of Tbilisi this ancient fortress is full of history and authentic charm. Great views as well . No need to buy round cable car trip — easy to walk down!

One of the places to go in search of the best view of the whole city . There is a funicular as an alternative for those who feel lazy and feel like seeing what birds see😊

In 1827, a huge explosion of the Russian munitions stored here ruined not only the fortress but also the Church of St. Nicholas inside it. The church was rebuilt in the 1990s.

The best place to make panorama pictures of Tbilisi! Fortress was almost destroyer in XIX and reconstructed XX centuries. Recommend it definitely, but wear sport shoes to climb here.

Great view over old Tbilisi. The walk up takes you through some beautiful neighbourhoods. You can clamber about most of what remains of the fort.

The fortress walls date from various periods, the earliest from the 4th century , it was a Persian citadel . The towers and most of the present walls were built in the 8th century by arabs.

Tower foundations and most of remaining walls were built in the 8th c. by Arab emirs, whose palace was inside the fortress. Subsequently Georgians, Turks and Persians captured and patched up Narikala.

Narikala Fortress is an ancient symbol of Tbilisi with superb views over the city . The walls date from various periods, the earliest from the 4th century , when it was a Persian citadel .

Try to climb to the top of the towers and walls . The way isn't clear but the view at the end is worth it

You can reach here easier by Telecabin but when you arrived to the castle you have a challenge to reach top of that, be aware there are no safety guard in the steps

This place has an amazing view of the whole city . I recommend you to go there at night 🌟

Nice view of the city , but the fortress itself looks like it's abandoned. No pathways, mess and letting people climb wherever they want. That's not how you preserve a historic site .

Best way to reach: take cablecar to the up; use stairs on foot to the down:-)

Отличная обзорная площадка , вид на город несравненный. Если одеть удобную обувь, то можно залезть на старые крепостные стены и тогда вашим фотографиям панорамы города обзавидуются друзья.

Открывается замечательный вид на город . Можно подняться как пешком так и воспользоваться канатной дорогой . Сама крепость большая часть новодел, но осень красиво

Очень красиво, как вид на крепость с низу так и с неё же на город с верху . Вход бесплатный. Модно подняться пешком, а лучше воспользоваться канатной дорогой . 2,5 лари в отделу сторону на человека
