One of the best wonder of the world! A lake within the volcano within a lake ! You have to ride a horse to go there and please work comfortable shoes ! Absolutely stunning scenic view !

Taal Volcano is the world's smallest active volcano . A complex volcano system, it consists of Volcano Island inside Taal Lake within the Taal Caldera. Tagaytay Ridge is actually the rim of the crater .

Bring water, hat, face mask , sunnies, towel, small snack . The trekking is uphill and not that easy because you'll be walking the same path as the horses . Expect a dusty path with lots of poop.

If you are fit enough to hike , do not rent a horse to take you to the crater . Normal hiking time takes 45 minutes; 15-20 minutes when riding on a horse . Horse rent costs P500; plus other fees (P600)

It's good enough for a light morning workout. There us no shade on the final stretch to the peak so it can be quite hot.

Use the power of leaving 2 negotiate prices before u get on boat. Otherwise you'll pay the 3500 pisos 2 get 2 the island & get the hard sell to ride horses . To see volcano you can't avoid the horses .

never ever trust the boat canvaser in tagayatay area and in talisay batangas main road because of there hidden charges and modus to convince the innocent tourist , plan your trip, be careful,stay safe

Don't be surprised when your trail guide jumps on the horse with you. I had some kid's balls up my ass half the time, but I understood because it's a tough trail to walk the whole way.

Be prepared to be peppered with different fees. I highly recommend taking the horseback.

At top of volcano they ask if you want to buy drinks for all your trail guides. Agree beforehand for the 1st one in your party to buy the drinks. We bought 9 drinks for 3 guides out of confusion.

You got to have a lot of patience with the locals. Always remember that you are in their territory.

Bring tons of water, facial mask , and wear a hat for sun protection. Be ready for a dusty trail .

Don't go horseback riding . It is animal abuse! The horses aren't given water until they reach half way/ all the way up. Guides pull on their tails to slow them down. They had wounds on the legs &face.

Pick a horse that has been fed. Better for the horse , better for your behind.

Amazing view ! Horse ride was excellent! Wear trainers and sunscreen ! Will cost around 1500P-2000P each for boat, horse , trike but well worth it!

Once you hit the island , EVERYONE will upsell. Don't buy the masks and gloves for the horses . The ground is moist enough and not dusty. The horses are filthy, so you can't avoid germs.
