Beautiful architecture , interesting contemporary art - one of my favourite museums in Europe. Watch out for the vertigo inspiring installation in the staircase.
A must if you are visiting Newcastle . For the view , the gallery and the walk to it.
Super varied modern art installations. Check what's on on their website (or just turn up with an open mind).
Great view from the top floors, friendly staff , lovely building. Good for a laugh to nod thoughtfully at puffed up descriptions of pretentious 'art ', which is more creative than the works themselves
If you are going to the restaurant on the 5th floor, just remember to book ahead to make sure you get to enjoy the food and the lovely view .
Amazing views and exhibitions . Plus free entrance. If you have only a limited time on the Tyne, this is the place to go.
This amazing old mill now houses an ever-changing collection of the world’s best contemporary art . It also has a tremendous art and design library .
Beautiful building with beautiful views of the River Tyne..... as for the rest of it..... is it really art ? Just as well it is free!
Always great! Has now been going for 20 years! Happy birthday! ????
You could easily spend half a day here. Arrive early and finish in time for food and drinks in the bar .
Great space, 2 of the 5 exhibitions were excellent the others were a bit beyond me...????
The view over the Tyne from level 5 is fantastic! Especially at night, when the Millennium Bridge is illuminated.
Although hot chocolate isn't listed on the menu I recommend asking for it. Very tasty.
Great view , great exhibitions and a lovely little gift shop ????
If you come to Newcastle and don't visit The Baltic you are a fool of a Took! Awesome place.
Great view over the city , amazing gallery ! ????????
Stripping off naked and making a mad dash accross the Millennium bridge and back will get you free coffee in the downstairs cafe !
Take the lift to the fifth floor and then work your way down. Bar on the sixth floor as well .
One of my favourite places in the world. It has aged much but it's still beautiful to me
Good cafe downstairs (cheaper than the restaurant on floor 6), viewing platform on floor 4 is the best - it's actually outside!
Significant façade. And mirror work at stairs is amazing
Mega cool venue. Check out the infinite staircase.
Put a video on a tv at the entrance so you can show them what everybody's missing
Very powerful Anselm Kiefer exhibition , one of Europe's foremost post-war artists . The Exhibition spans 40 years of his work and includes the 2006 installation Palmsonntag (8 Oct - 16 Jan 2011).
Restaurant is really good and not a bad price £18 for 2 courses
Interesting artwork, wonderful place to go to think
Sew Surreal: Maurizo Anzeri ends 2nd October. A great exhibition must be seen.http://www.candidonline.com/Candid_Magazine/Arts/Entries/2011/9/7_Sew_Surreal.html
Quirky gift shop and lovely Cappuccinos
Loved the Tatty Devine workshop! I will be back! :)
Go on the top and enjoy a beautiful sight! (of course, also the gallery is a worth visit)
Stunning food and views
Check online in advance to see what exhibitions are open. Went at the weekend and there was only one thing open.
2nd floor is great space if you are with toddlers.
Great view from the level 5 box
Six is amazing for Sunday lunch !
try and spot one of the 'street invaders ', there is one there!
Find the space invader !
Check who's exhibiting , as it varies hugely!
Head to the 5th floor for an excellent view of Newcastle !
Eyes peeled for the Invader on the stairs ;o)
Jenny Holzer exhibition is Awesome!!
Oh dear...
Wasted on Geordies
Museu lindo, com adicional de uma vista maravilhosa da cidade e a loja tem itens bem interessantes de Newcastle a venda como lembrança da cidade .
