The Led Zeppelin show was very interesting! It's what I imagine a bad LSD trip would have been like! The 3D effects are so good that you get dizzy or flinch at times! Well worth the $10 ticket!

Imiloa in Hawaiian means to explore or seek knowledge . The center lets visitors do just that in the world's 1st 3D stereo planetarium or in the exhibits tracing the birth of the cosmos and our Earth. Read more
Nice science museum for kids with a good planetarium show . Perfect activity on a rainy day on the big island .
Visit website before visiting the center and study the Hawaiian Word of the Day. Recite it to the associates at the front desk and redeem $2 off adult admission.
Movies are great. Night sky orientation good. Japanese buffet confusing.
Signature planetarium show , Maunakea: Between Earth and Sky is at 1PM daily, Tuesday - Sunday.
Open Tuesday thru Sunday 9AM-5PM (save Christmas & New Year's Day).
For best viewing , sit in the second to last row of the planetarium
Admission includes a planetarium show (45 minutes). Kids show only on Saturdays. Lots of hands on interactive exhibits .

Did not appreciate that the barista would not reduce the temperature in the sex cauldron. My grandchild had first degree burns. Guard would not greet our service iguana. Rude.

Amazing views. Quite big for a day visit. A car is a nessesity. Nice postcards in the visitor center. Some of the trails are closed because of vulcanic activity. - Martin Kunz
