The Space Shuttle Pavilion showcases the space shuttle Enterprise, the prototype NASA orbiter that paved the way for the space shuttle program. In addition to the Russian Soyuz space capsule, there are 17 dynamic exhibit zones with original artifacts, photographs, audio, and films.

Cool exhibit if you haven't seen a shuttle yet. You can't go inside of it unfortunately. You do get to see how amazing they are though along with the Soyuz capsule.
Active duty military get in for free which is nice bonus for a place we wanted to visit anyway. You could easily spend 4-5 hours there with the Growler , the various aircraft, and Enterprise NASA.

It’s a prototype of the shuttle, we love it. Was incredible and they have a virtual reality attraction from Microsoft it’s like you walking in the moon.
Pretty neat as you get to see The intrepid, space shuttle, planes (including concord), & submarine . Submarine is not included you have to pay extra. worth the money. Expect to be there for a few hours
It's a beautifully designed exhibition for the whole family. A great learning experience for all ages.

I was overwhelmed when I saw "the" Enterprise. I don't know if it was because I'm a Trekker but it was one of the best moments of my life!
Our education department hosts daily demonstrations in the Pavilion about Life in a Vacuum: 12:30pm & 2:30pm Monday-Friday and 11:30am, 1:30pm, & 3:30pm on Saturday & Sundays. Read more
This "Enterprise" has never been to space and was also not featured in a "Star Trek" movie . But it's the first out of six space shuttles - and pretty impressing

My favorite part of the Intrepid museum ! Exciting to see the forerunner of our space program and learn how it came about.
This alone makes the Intrepid worth visiting. Veterans have free admission into the Intrepid.
It's simply amazing to be able to be this close to a real ship. And watching Gravity underneath was pretty great too!

Excellent exhibit added to Entrepid and best visit to see the real life Shuttle.
Great to see the shuttle. It's impressively large. Sadly you can't see anything but the exterior. There were some demos for kids that seemed so-so.

Just a note that the Space Shuttle Pavilion at the Intrepid Museum will be closed to the public on Monday, April 27, 2015. The rest of the Museum will be open normally.
