Cool museum , particularly the history building. You need at least a full afternoon to see it all. Get your free ticket in the front desk in the first building on the left.

One of the best and the earliest museums in China . The main building was designed by Liang Sicheng, not to mention its remarkable collections.

Selfie stick is not allowed here, so you must get a locker if you have one. And you need to wait a while for the lockers mostly because the museum is always crowded with lots of people.

1933年国民政府教育部筹备中央博物院，建筑设计思想力图体现中国早期的建筑风格，采用辽代的式样建造。1936年11月12日蔡元培主持举行了隆重的奠基典礼。1948年举办展览，蒋介石、于右任等要员名流出席、参观，观者塞途。1950年3月，筹备处更名“南京博物院”。现有藏品约42万件，仅次于北京故宫博物院。目前为江苏省文物保护单位。 Read more
