There's a steep entry fee when you can see most of the temple from the outside. Suggest saving the money, walk around, and instead check out the giant golden reclining Buddha in the neighboring Wat.

Very nice area to visit, between the temples and the golden stupa. It' indeed the most important national monument in Laos and the nation symbol. Be aware that the stupa has been under renovation

MUST VISIT: Arguably one of the best Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia . Make sure to visit the adjacent temples , including Wat That Luang Tai and its giant reclining Buddha .

I am a Buddhist, and visited a lot of temples and this is one of the most beautiful one, with the huge reclining Buddha .

This temple is one of the symbol of Laos ! It's a bit far from the center, so use a tuk-tuk to go there. A must-see.

Its their national symbol... i almost feel sad for them that they cannot even give it some fresh paint lol!

You'll need to cover your legs. Skirts available for rent, probably for a small fee. Lots of street food stalls outside with decent eats.
