Tiny little onsen town with a very atmospheric setting (all the steam from the onsens and lights on the river ). There is not much more though so one full day for visit is sufficient!
Each year 26 June is Ofuro no Hi. You can enjoy Onsen meguri for free. Hours are 10a to 3pm for day trippers, and 8:30a to 9p if you are staying at one of the ryokans.

太过商业化，大部分温泉酒店设施老旧，且交通不便。如果一定要来，建议选择南小国周边的其他温泉。
筑後川源流の落ち着いた温泉 です。川のせせらぎが気持ちいいですね。いろいろなお宿のお湯巡りができます。
廃れていた時期もあったらしいが町 おこしが功を奏し鄙びたけど廃れてない温泉 街になってます。
