Charming town with an impressive concentration of some of the best restaurants in Northern California.
In 1836, George Yount planted the first grapevines in Napa Valley, after declaring, “In such a place I should love to clear the land & make my home. In such a place I should love to live & die."
Look for the shoebox-sized metal sign just South of town on the cyclone fence along Hwy 29. It marks the high-water mark of the 1986 flood, and was half the height of the fence.
Home, sweet home. We love this charming little town . A gourmand's paradise. -Redd Wood
