Lovely zoo devoted to animals living in the Alpine region. Highly worthwile your visit if you are in Innsbruck. Take the combi-ticket for the Hungerburg train + zoo (15 euro).
I actually like the pigs and cows best! Good also in bad weather when there's fewer visitors and more available parking .
Variety of native animals (present or historic). Can get a very close look at bears . Good views of the town below.

Cute zoo with steep inclines so take that into consideration. Animals can be easily seen but the exhibits are not mega big. Count for about 3 or 4 hours of time. Skip the food
One of the best Zoos I've ever seen!
Were were the animals? Reminds of Skansen in Stockholm. Admit I saw a sleeping Elk and two (sleeping) Bears .
Please don't do our mistake...and visit it in a warm season!

Schöner kleiner Zoo über Innsbruck. 2 Stunden vor Schluss ist er nicht mehr überlaufen und die Tiere der Alpenregion gut zu besichtigen.
Super toll gestaltet, sehr interessant und wenig los, nicht wie ein kommerzieller Zoo :) Für Erwachsene auch empfehlenswert - die Aussicht ist einfach toll!

Sehr schöner Zoo , der durch konstante Um- und Erweiterungsbauten immer spannender und auch tiergerechter wird.
Toller Zoo ! Schön angelegte Gehege , die es den Tieren so angenehm wie möglich machen.

Uno zoo piccolo ma molto bello. Un paradiso per i bambini dove possono accarezzare e dare del cibo a capre e pecore .
Super schön . Aufstiege dauert ca 30min. Der Zoo ist nicht besonders groß aber die Menschen verteilen sich gut. Dadurch gibt es kein Gedränge. 12€ Eintritt.

Das Terrassenbuffet hatte mehr Charme, und war schneller in der Bedienung. Im Animahl gibt es eine grössere Küche und mehr Speisen, aber für den Zoo wären Wurstsemmel oder Gulaschsuppe wirklich ok. - J Kofler

The park as a bad reputation due an alleged drug (dealer) problem. However, during the day this is a very nice place in the midst of the city. Just avoid it at night. - J Kofler
