Come on a sunny day and walk the Smuts Track (no climbing but intermediate hiking ). Last part dangerous if cloudy or windy. But the view is worth the walk up. Calculate 4-4,5 hours from KirstenboschBG

Walked up via Platteklip Gorge and it was well worth it. Don't pay a guide to get exercise on your time. Just prepare sensible clothes and sunblock then look forward to the amazing views !

Set aside ~3 hours to hike up the mountain if you can, otherwise take the cable car up and enjoy the views . I recommend going later in the day to catch sunset or earlier for sunrise.

If you are taking the cableway both ways make sure to explore the paths at the top for additional views , flora and fauna. Wear sneakers if you plan to do this.

Its a new seventh wonder and is a easy hour climb to the top. Favourite routes, Rhodes to Kirstenbosch, skeleton gorge, indian venster and kloof corner.

If you want to go up by walking be prepared to a very difficult walk, particularly the final part. The view from the top is magnificent ... Something not to lose!

If you want a good photo of yourself on Table Mountain , go to the top in late afternoon/early evening for the best light. Mornings = backlit

If you have time and are reasonably fit, hike up. India Venster is a beautiful, though slightly challenging hike .
