Most NYSC branches are awkwardly retrofitted into old hi-rises. This one is, too, but the footprint actually makes sense for a gym , contributing to less crowding at peak hours .
This has been great for cross-training, core work, and rehabilitating an injured shoulder! I am definitely much stronger thanks to here-I just wish I could afford the massages !
Workout in the morning when the club opens and you will have the entire facility to yourself (and a few other senior citizens)!
Great views of Broadway from the weight room . More machine focused than free weights. 2 squat racks.
Closes at 11 Mon-Thurs and 10 on Friday for the late night gym rats . Boxing classes are amazing! Great for beginners and advanced
Decent gym for the money, though very busy during peak hours . Izzet is a very good personal trainer
Don't miss Heather's Zumba class on Monday at 6pm and Thursday at 5:45pm! But, get there early because it gets packed quickly!
It opens super early. 5:30 am. So take advantage if you’re a early morning type.
The spinning studio at Mercer is possibly the largest of all the NYSC locations (I've been to probably 40+ clubs -- really rockin' that Passport Membership) which is nice when the bikes are all taken
I love this location. The weekends are really quiet and the staff is very friendly .
The lockers in this gym are smaller than the other two NYSC's in SoHo. Still doable and pretty spacious .
The best New York Sports Club. Never busy, huge lockers , clean bathrooms .
It opens at 5am! Great if you start suffering from insomnia!
This gym is suitable 4 a seasond gym goer; though u may b keen 2 avoid it M to W b/w 5 & 8p as u may find urself overcome w/ ppl on top of 1 another. Cardio equip is approaching retirement/needs repl
Clean facility . Expect it to get more crowded since the SoHo location closed down.
Don't go to the spin class with Steve Thomas. Terrible instructor , boring music , instructor does not speak or motivate in any way and he only pedals for 1/10 of the time. Walked out halfway through.
The Pilates class on Sundays at 12:30 is not your typical Pilates class . Kicked my butt!
Clean and spacious !
The training staff is the best in New York
Call Friday for Sunday class !
They have muay thai boxing and boxing gym in the basement reaL GOOD
Sunday 11:15 spin class is fun, but he runs over so conserve your energy
The new tvs are terrible the sound sucks and a touch screen for a wobbly precor?????
I am at new york sports club 145st 8Th ave Now
It’s super crowded here most days
