Three majestic crosses with anchors - symbols of hope - have been erected to commemorate the bloody victims of the workers' strikes in December 1970. The crosses are 42 m high and weigh 140 tons.
It commemorates the 42 or more people killed during the Coastal cities events in December 1970. It is the first monument to the victims of communist oppression to be erected in a communist country .
