Slovenia is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe and Bled is the jewel in its crown. The castle , the island , the church on the island . The food, the people the air. Wonderful place.

this is one of the most beautiful natural places i've seen in the world, maybe similar only to some landscapes in Switzerland! Rent a boat and go to the little Ireland in the lake . It's so romantic !

Beyond the only designated swim site (Grajska Beach ), most people swim for free and with better views at the Camping Bled site. No lockers but you can change at the free WC and plenty of vendors.

It is hard to look away from such serene beauty. Found myself here again. You can opt to row yourself to the island in the middle or take a Pletna & let the local boy row while u capture lovely pics

Best time 2 enjoy Lake Bled: I was there b4 9AM, get on the Pletna(boat that takes you to Bled Island ) before hordes of tourist arrive between 10 to 11. Very popular with Asian tourists . View : magical

Absolutely stunning picturesque lake in the Julian Alps, 55km far from Ljubljana. Take a ride on a traditional “pletna” wooden boat and visit the 17th C. “Assumption of Mary” church on Bled Island .

Maybe the most touristic spot in Slovenia , but it's worth the hype. Walk around the lake to enjoy it, if it's hot, go for a swim and take the trail Mala Osojnica for the best view .

Take a leisurely stroll around the lake , its about 6KM, depending on speed & how often u will stop for photos. Immense photo opportunities . I took my time about 3 hrs & I stopped 4 the famous Bled 🍰

Spend at least one day in the area. Visit the castle ,swim in the lake ,sail to the island ,spend a couple of hours to the local gorge (approx. 5km away) and then walk around the lake .

Its a unique sight with the island on the lake . However, slightly touristy and it can be annoying. Not the perfect location for hiking , there are not many trails . Yet, it's worth it for the sight.

This is one of the treasures of the world I must say. It is amazing and very relaxing. Make sure you make trip to the island .

I recommend the complete walk (6km) around the lake : in around 2h, you'll get all angles of paradise. Unless you stop too much to take photos, of course. No one will blaim you.

Magic place with sparkling water surrounded by the mountains ! Want to come back! It’s deep lake , but worth to swim there.

Very nice to see. Beautiful old fortress, nice island in the middle of the lake , but not so interesting when you get there and expensive boat ride . I recommend the straw around the lake .

The walk around the lake is about 6km long, no cars allowed on the promenade. Lots of photo opportunities and places to stop and try some traditional food or buy something to remind you of Bled.

The most famous attraction of Slovenia , early morning is amazing charming when mist reflect the lake .

I strongly recommend you to hire your own small boat instead of joining to a group on touristic big ones. Then you can enjoy this lovely lake with your independence...

Rent a boat and afterwards go for a swim in the beautiful lake Bled. Only a bus trip away form Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana.

The ride to island costs reasonable 14€ per person and you pay it on the way back. Whole trip takes around 1h 20min. 40min for trip 40min on island .

To save money to eat, head to the Mercator on the side of thw lake , there are sandwiches , salads and other items for a picnic

We had a nice sunny weather in December. A slow walk around the lake (cca 1.5h), you can rent a boat.
