Make sure you you check out the pool during rhe summer and of course the beer garden on the 2nd floor.... great staff and service is impeccable...love this hotel ... just my style - not for everybody
Follow them on Facebook and then attend one of their many weekly pool parties during the summer to enjoy their fabulous Andy Warhol pool.
Front desk people are awesome. Call when PostMates show up, left me extra blankets (NYC is chilly!) gave me a map of NYC. Only bad thing so is that wifi is a little spotty.
Comfy beds . Good food & drinks. Great downtown location. Hip , but not inaccessible. Sam at the front desk is the bomb. Will definitely return.
New York's only hotel with an Andy Warhol print on the bottom of its pool. Things have quieted down since the days when the neighbors were complaining about the pool area being used as a nightclub . Read more
Beautifully done! Wonderful size rooms with a great decor. You can tell a lot of thought went into this. Wish the walls were thicker. You can hear EVERYTHING in the rooms next to you!
2016 update: formerly the Thompson Hotel (see: all tips before 2015). The location is great, hotel is trendy but hit its peak around 2008, walls are thin. Overall, nice place, but don't pay full price
Fantastic place. We love the rooftop pool with psychedelic Warhol art at bottom and the insane exploding-sun chandeliers in adjacent SHANG Restaurant .
My current go to hotel in NYC . Perfect location and nice, clean rooms . You can get a good rate if you plan ahead.
The new rooftop bar "tiki Tabu" is quite original. It's clean and small and has a decent view . Be warned, tip is included on the tab.
Elevator service was screwy, but fun when working, watching Dolce Vita in the Dark is kinda sexy. Awesome, helpful staff (often these chic hotel staff can be too cool for good service , not here!)
Nice hotel with great proximity to LES but can be pricy and the rooms can be small.
Great views from the corner rooms and a cute little bar at the pool!
Incredibly nice staff , great restaurants in the area, good sized rooms.
The Loft at the Thompson Hotel is a penthouse duplex with an amazing view of Brooklyn all the way up towards Midtown from the balcony that runs along one side of the room.
"Anything less than the best is a felony" Vanilla Ice was talking about this place. Thank you Chrisso.
These are definitely the most annoying hotel elevators I ever had the "pleasure" to use. Always occupied by staff .
Overall awesome hotel . Request a high floor for a great view . Walls are thin.
Amazing views , beautify room, and excellent service.
Perfect hotel if you go to NYC in the summer : very cool pool parties ! + the perfect area !
Nice boutique hotel in lower east side. Got a complimentary upgrade yay!
I've stayed in many hotels in NYC and the Thompson LES is one of my favorites.

The bar is great on the weekends. Small pool, but the area is good for a private party. Rooms are very modern.
+ Great Hotel , Nice venue for a party on the 7th Floor !
This place is prejudice! The concierge people are all white & barley any dark skin staff there. I asked to speak to the HK manager and she pretended not to see me & attended a white couple instead.
Fun tiki bar . Can become very crowded . Beware of the dirty bathrooms
I'm in love with the view from The Loft! Great space for a small get together!
The suites are killer. Ask for an upgrade.
Great hotel but don't stay in a room on the 7th floor if they are hosting a party on the deck (unless you are invited).
There's Fellini playing in the elevator ! Plus the second floor is fab for a soirée...
Room 100 is a flexible space perfect for small, creative meetings and events .
Nice bar with a view , but the music is very loud
Great hotel , with two exceptions. The elevators take forever, and don't valet your car if you ever want to see it again.
The go-to home away from home for our Bollare LA counterparts!
Room #1700 is a corner room and has an incredible view w/outdoor wrap around balcony .
Fun spot for a cocktail in the LES!
Finally up to the pool--go sneak peeks off the deck and grab an orange scoop chair. Read more
Avoid the rooms facing Allen, especially on weekends - unless you enjoy being part of the party downstairs.
Nice view . Shitty bar
one of our top picks for Fashion week next month!
There's no coffee maker in the room. #Dislike
There's an ice machine hidden on the 7th floor !
Havaianas Swim Club pool party every Sunday 2-8pm, on the roof of the Thompson LES
$10 for 24hrs of Internet is a rip off. Cooper Sq hotel is completely free and you get a glass of wine when you check in.

The doormen here are so hot; so friendly .
Elevators in this place suck donkey. Add 30 min on your day if you're above floor 12.
There's always a Fellini film showing in the elevator !
King suites with terraces are fantastic rooms!
They've got board games and a selection of beers. - Spencer Fry
Totally whimsical and beautiful in the best way. Fun rooftop bar to meet friends and have a drink. We did a photoshoot here and it was a beautiful, colorful venue. - Paige C
