Pollock, Scad, Garfish can also be caught with feathers or by spinning. Plenty of other species to be caught by bottom fishing on the run up although weed can make this difficult.
May to Sep Mackerel can be caught from the pier . Fish the end of the pier on the run up/flood and the last third of the pier facing the run off/ebb. Bass can also be caught on the ebb.
