Heart of the city . Beautiful Soviet architecture though with a unique Armenian style. I love the terra-cotta bricks they use. It's reminiscent of the colors of the Armenian countryside.

The square was designed by architect Alexander Tamanian within the 1924 main plan of Yerevan city . The construction of the square started in 1926 and ended by 1929.

Love it here in the evening, when everyone is out for a stroll; friends arm in arm, mothers with strollers, grandparents with little ones, everyone is here!

I've been to hundreds of squares but this one of the memorables with the water show while playing starwars soundtrack!

Singing and dancing fountains are nice. Pity you can't swim here.

Если вечером попасть на шоу фонтанов (особенно в первый день), это запомнится. Не супер масштабно, но очень мило и уютно - вокруг ещё все здания в огоньках ????
