Just a pretty square in a bustling part of Boston . Check out the Church and the Boston Public Library adjacent to the west of the square.
There's a Farmer's market here every week during the summer. This is one of my favorite squares in Boston for the opportunity to sit and a beautiful green area , and watch the city happen around you.
There was a market on Friday (no idea if it's daily though). Big and spacious place for lunchtime or just for walk. Huges buildings as well . It's close to anything in Boston.
If you said that Boston has an ‘uptown’ area as well as a downtown area, this is the central location for uptown. Everything is here: library , restaurants , 2 MBTA lines ; Comm Ave promenade; S. End.

Check out the lit up Christmas tree near trinity church . A great view with the Boston public library in the background.
Check out the creepy statue of Bishop Philip Brooks by the sculptor Saint-Gaudens here; he is most famous for the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial on the Boston Common.
Grab a coffee and sit by the water fountain . It's pretty relaxing to people watch .
