The breakfast was outstanding and the service was incredible. No need to carry your hotel key with you throughout the city , the friendly staff will hold it for you.

If you're arriving alone after dark I recommend the San Marco stop as the route from here to the hotel is simple and well-lit whereas the Gigli stop is at the end of a long, narrow, unlit alley.

Hotel is really comfortable , staff is friendly and talkative😊 and ofcourse location is perfect!

Request a room on an upper level to avoid early morning "noise" from breakfast in the courtyard . Be aware though, there is no elevator . The porters are very helpful and will handle all your luggage .

The Gigli stop is (literally) a few minutes earlier on the vaparetto 1 route but it's much simpler to get to/from the hotel from the San Marco stop with luggage .

The spread laid out for breakfast is impressive and delicious.

There is an elevator ! Staff are very helpful. The hotel is old so one should be prepared to enjoy the age!
