Perfect date spot , and you can skip the long line mostly by grabbing a seat at the bar . Oxtail marmalade on bone marrow was standout. Grilled corn , Uni bocadillo , and mussels all good too.
Great food, drinks, ambience, service. Loved everything about this place!! Must tries:Tortilla Espanola(Egg,omelet with alioli)+Pimientos del Padron(Spicy green peppers )+Corn on Cob+Chicken Empanadas .
Maíz asado con aioli y queso cotija . Sure it's messy. Ask for an extra napkin, maybe bring some floss. It's so worth it. (Save some bread to wipe the plate clean when you're through.)
Get here around 6 or earlier if you dont want to wait. Get the Verdad y Amor if you want a mix on a margarita that is strong and delish. Love Pork Belly , Dates, Ham Croquettes , and Yellowfin Sashimi
The corn with aioli , cheese & lime is so rich it's like a dessert . Don't leave this restaurant without trying one! Also, the yellowfin tuna is a nice respite from the heavily fried dishes.
This place definitely lives up to the hype. Loved the pate , bone marrow and grilled corn .
Best of Boston 2016: Spanish Restaurant ???????? :: Tantalizing pintxos (uni bocadillo , Serrano ham–wrapped dates) & tapas (notable: crispy patatas bravas , set off by piquant tomato sauce & creamy aioli ).
Great food for an amazing price. Garlic shrimp are so delicious. Also, the cold smoked eggplant dish is amazing. The only downside is that open kitchen , you will leave with mixed odors.
Everything is amazing. Must have the corn , tuna tar tar , bone marrow . Cocktails are delicious. Put your name in and plan to wait at least an hour. Go down the street for a drink and app while you wait
The corn is amazing. Like cheesy grilled popcorn . Tuna tartare ia very well done. Jamon blanco is quite flavorful. Im not quite sold on the bone marrow but the flat bread that comes with it is good.
Can't find a single thing I did not love about Toro. As a Spaniard - and Spanish food lover - I loved Toro's take on tapas . Some authentic and some with a fun twist. All delicious.
A chic little spot where the tapas are intriguing little bites; the paella is excellent; and the vibe is cool. But the waits can be murderously long. Read more
Get the bar places next to the front window to avoid being close to the kitchen. Food and sangria were delicious (jamon serrano , croquetas de bacalao and also the chicken empanadas and tortilla !)
I don't even know if this has a name. When Luis asked me what I wanted, I mentioned I'd been on a spicy tequila kick lately. He lit up and asked "straight up or on the rocks?" Rocks, please. Yum.
Toro serves modern and traditional tapas ranging from simple grilled corn to elaborate dishes pairing seafood and charcuterie with rich, bold flavors that keep the crowds lining up. [Eater 38 Member]
Very good food and service... One of the best restaurants in Boston???? A must try
Menu is huge so need to order well . The corn , large plates@and anything with foie gras are fantastic!
Don't leave without trying the cow's milk cheese from Menorca, the Brussel sprouts and the corn w/cheese. The Rioja is delicious here too.

Toro offers a brunch-only cocktail called the Tailpipe; a blend of potassium-rich banana milk and Old Monk rum to take the edge off any hangover. What's more , it's delicious. Drink!
Amazing red sangria !! Everything is good. And the burger . All tapas all the time. Super crowded though. You'll have to sit touching a stranger.
Great all around and decidedly geared towards adults. Outdoor seating , pop music pulsing (I dare you NOT to groove while you eat), fab food and cocktails . Go on a weeknight for a shorter wait
So many incredible tapas here. The dates stuffed with blue cheese and almonds and wrapped in jamón serrano are amazing. The churros were a bit eggy and the dipping chocolate was disappointing, though.
Wow! The Caña de Cabra is a fantastic new addition to the menu — Spanish goat cheese !
"Some favorites from our review: maiz asado con alioli y queso cotija and atun crudo ($12), fresh sushi-grade yellowfin tuna served in a light sauce of soy, spicy cucumbers , citrus , and avocado ." Read more
Try the famous corn of course ...If your not picky just try everything on the menu . Its a food experience of a lifetime. The food is outstanding and great atmosphere. Never disappointed
Best tapas in Boston. They don't take reservations but well worth the wait. Theres a wait list at the bar that's typically shorter than table service.
Toro only takes reservations during restaurant week. Best tapas dishes: grilled corn , roasted bone marrow , + Catalan stew . House sangria is also a hit !
This tapas spot has an extensive menu to please any palette. The grilled corn is the standout dish but beware - the restaurant is small and does not take dinner reservations ! Read more
Usually a big wait but worth it. Not much room at the bar . Go across the street to the sushi place for some drinks as you wait
The corn dish was a little heavy but shrimp and mussels tapas were absolutely delicious!
Gambas Al Ajillo is my fav with Pinot Noir on tap ! Service is perfect also.
This upscale taberna captures the spirit of a Barcelona tapas hot spot—and not just because it’s perpetually jammed . Toro features a # of Spanish vino values & an innovative and reasonably priced menu
Named "Best Tapas " by Boston Phoenix readers in 2012! If it was possible to orgasm from a cob of corn — don't even go there — it would be from Toro's succulent maiz asado con alioli y queso cotija . Read more
Corn , bone marrow , glazed duck , paella , you name it!!!
Try the dates, bone marrow , shrimp , setas y huevo , cod cakes
Skip the sliders . Get the corn , smoked duck drumette, pork belly , paella . So flavorful! 4.5/5
(Best of Boston 2013-SPANISH) Improper Bostonian says, "Even as it's New York iteration prepares to open, this South End mainstay remains furiously popular and with reason."
Foie gras , premium cured ham , and the buffalo heart (this one is a bit salty) are my favorite, next time I would try the beef tongue , must be good
so-called the most popular Spanish restaurant in town , only the chicken liver appetizer got me, maybe that's because i have ever been to Spain and tasted the authentic Spanish food
Favorite tapas here: almendras marcona (Spanish almonds ), maíz asado con alioli (Grilled corn ), pimientos del padron (peppers ), garlic shrimp
Great restaurant ! Great atmosphere!! Must try the cheese corn ! Only problem no reservation first come first serve. Come early or late long time wait in rush hour
Wow. The Croquettas de Bacalao come with delicious fried lemon peel rings on top
I can't say half of the items on the menu, nor do I know what they are. What I do know is that it was delicious. I live right near here and this will definitely be a spot I frequent for cocktails and
Everything was great! Corn for apps and churro with chocolate sauce for dessert
I'm telling you- the bartenders know what they are doing go with the wine of the day or any drinks they want to make for you- success!
Be prepared to wait for your tapas , because this is a very popular restaurant and they don't take reservations . Great food, though.
Show up about 40 minutes before you want to eat, because unless it’s 5:30 on a Monday, you’re going to wait. Luckily, that’s just enough time to order and drink one of Toro’s excellent cocktails . Read more
The patatas bra as and bone marrow are delicious. Get a reservation for lunch !
OMG the bone marrow is a must try. It will change your life! The pan con tomate with anchovies is a must try too!
Fantastic tapas and record store. The prawns come in a rich, roasted tomato sauce that's hard to get enough of - Jesse T
Great tapas, awesome atmosphere, extremely reasonable prices. We went with 5 girls and ate until we could no longer fit anything else in. Plus 2 bottles of wine and it was under $200 including tip! - Melissa Crawford
Delicious AUTHENTIC Spanish tapas. Worth the cab ride. Try the pringa- beef shank, pork belly, bone marrow on toast- sounds gross but it's incredible! - Allie Martini
