Two words: summer sausage Also there's a man who sells his own bread , you'll know him by his thick accent, cardboard boxes, and willingness to talk to you about literally everything. Good times.
The fruits and vegetables are an incredibly great deal (located in the tents outside of the buildings)! Across the street is an antiques building where you can spend time browsing after
It's hard to find non-fried food here, so if you want to eat healthy you better bring snacks or come full. That being said, I really enjoyed Just'a'Meatballs in the food court (I recommend Swedish).
What is not great here? Amazing fresh produce , local artisans , local business, bakery goods, honey , maple syrup , gifts ... The best place
The ground beef at Charles Meats is the best you can get. Fish selection at Caudles Catch is amazing (try their crab cakes ). Baseball steaks at Bradys are a favorite too.
The butter tarts at DALES baking in the tent are awesome also othee baked goods
The burning of the main building is a major setback, but they're adapting well to it. Some butchers have moved/are moving into the Pedler's Village building, and some stuff has moved outside.
Show up at 2 PM to get the best deals on fruit and vegetables , all the vendors drop their prices as they try to clear up. The same doesn't hold for meats though! The best stuff runs out fast!
Don't miss the authentic Halifax doner (the sweet sauce is amazing). And of course you need to get apple fritters ! Look at the line - they have to be good! Now go wait in it and buy a dozen.
I love buying my fruits and produce here, a lot of it is local, and it's prices are better than stores.
Good times for family. Go early for breakfast and avoid the mad crowds.
Come near closing time (3pm) and food gets auctioned out at some great prices!
Main building has reopened. Get there early on a weekend.
I can attest, the apple fritters (with maple syrup ) are delicious. Def try if you get a chance.
If the weather is nice, get there early to get your produce. By noon on a Saturday it gets very busy. Bring comfortable shoes , lots of walking.

Stone Crock Sausage Express has an excellent smoked Oktoberfest sausage on a bun . Highly recommend.
If Cafe Du Monde Creperie is there, give it a try. Delicious!
If you are not up for the traditional Market Fare, the chicken donair / Shawarma . Is good. Get napkins.....
The Market is also open Thursday year round and Tuesdays in the summer.
Much easier parking at TSC across the street. Makes getting out of the parking lot much quicker.
