This is a great place to walk; especially on a balmy summer night. There are several nice places along the beachfront to eat and have drinks...try Ouzeria Vrakas :-))

The view is great, very central, close to everything. But just being by the sea and surrounded by so much History and Archaeology, is enough.

The best place to walk in the seafront of Heraklion. Visit the fortress Rocca a Mare / Koules, the nearby Venetian Basilica Saint Peter, and explore the remains of the old industrial railway.

Walk out onto the sea wall for a good view of the city , but prepare to be splashed by the waves.

Make sure to walk all the way down to enjoy the splash of sea water! Fun!
