Try the Tamarind Cooler drink - very tasty and refreshing. Also love the Watermelon Chilli Granitas . The two of us shared the Dipper Sampler and Five Tasters and they are all super delicious!
Excellent Lao food . Probably the best in town . Lots of vegetarian and vegan options .
Everything here is delicious, I had the lemongrass chicken , sticky rice and their freshly made ginger fizz. All enjoyed at their terrace across the street. It was lunch with a view !
I had steamed local greens & seasonal pumpkin . A plant-based eater’s dream. The dessert , traditional purple rice , was the perfect amount of sweet. Went to the cooking school too. Best experience!
This is definitely the BEST food I've had in Laos! I had the slow BBQ pork wrapped in lemon grass - divine! Make a reservation if you can, as it tends to get quite busy and pre-booked.
Their cooking school is excellent. Of course the market tour and then it takes place in a remote location. And Tamarind has a great ice coffee .
One of the most popular restaurants for local food, I made reservation 2days in advance to get a table. Food taste is not that so impressive for me, but service was excellent.
The food was very tasty, big portions . The setting is nice and they have a few tables at the river across the street. The service not very friendly . It’s very busy so you need to make a reservation .
Good food and huge variety, very good prices...just qiantities are a little bit for dish....and 'cause I ordered 2dishes of rice they were astonished saying that I eat a lot....mmmm...thanks indeed!!!!
Be sure to make reservations as this is a popular restaurant (and for a reason). Traditional Lao food with modern flair and excellent presentation. It is located next to The Apsara Hotel .
Everything was awesome, especially fish in banana leaf and stuffed lemongrass !
Great time due to the very attentive service . The menu includes 5 pages about food culture, very interesting. The staff makes sure you understand what you are getting and explain each dish. Impressed!
Had the best Lao cuisine at this place. I especially loved the lemongrass chicken and the taster plate.
If you're in Luang Prabang you should try this restaurant one night for an insightful introduction to Lao food. Service is amazing and the food is great too.
I had the trio salads : papaya , fish and veggies medium spicy ... they were amazing !
Really enjoyed everything here - friendly , speedy service; delicious food, and good prices. Definitely stop by if you're in town .
Amazing and delicious way to sample Lao cuisine ! The cocktails were amazing as well !
Don't know what to get? Try one of the set menus and you can't go wrong. Gets crowded , have a reservation or get there early.
If you only have time to try one restaurant serving traditional Lao cuisine in LPB, make it this one. The food is really excellent and while it's not cheap , at least it's not a rip off like others
The Coconut Pumpkin Soup is great, but the food overall isn't life changing. Service is also just okay. We liked coconut garden more.
Stuffed chicken in lemongrass is so yummy. Location is on Kan River Rd., not the one marked in the Foursquare
Good taster of Laos food but I found it more average than excellent compared to the reviews I had read.
Excellent Lao food . Local ingredients makes it special.
Mushrooms in coconut milk , fish in banana leaf , and Luangprabang stew are all excellent
Excellent sampling of Lao cuisine . Menu comes with loads of info. Great place by the Nam Khan River .
This is, hands down, best restaurant in town : great food, and the staff is so nice!
The taste platters give a drooling glimpse of LB cuisine.
Fruity drinks with a shot of Lao Lao rice whisky make for great cocktails
I’ll dream about the sausage tonight. That’s what she said.
The make it yourself wraps were tasty!
Great place to experience Laos food
Place for tourist to sample variety of Laos food. No atmosphere. Very bright lights. Service good.
The most amazing food I've had in Laos. Favorite was the dipping sampling plate and chicken wrapped in lemongrass .
great sampling platter
Everything! Seriously though have the sampler platter for two.
Ginger and lemongrass refresher, perfect match with the hot climate
Beautiful food, well priced and attentive staff . Highly recommended! Make sure you book .
Amazing!!! Get the dipper sampler and marinated buffalo--the best!!
Now near the end of the peninsular, overlooking the Nam Khan. Really great food.
Try five bites and desserts taste plate!
Best food we had in Luang Prabang. Go here.
Set menu is worth for 2
Take the one day cooking course to cook and eat in Tamarind's beautiful garden . Attentive staff and a beautiful setting.
The food and smoothies and cooking class .
Try the set menus!
Very bland food aimed at an older, less adventurous palate - judging by the clientele. It was really bad, the sour pork was not at all sour. Spicy dishes were as spicy as tomato ketchup . Avoid!
Tasting platter
Larb kwai is the best
Great place for tourists to sample Lao food. Very well priced.
Food is good
Fresh spring rolls and lemongrass wrapped in chicken were worthwhile choices!! Do request for extra peanuts to go with the spring rolls. Simply delightful!! - Eric Mah
Great to have free fast wifi and great chicken curry with roti. The fried banana disappointing. - Andrea Walker
Amazing food! Try the family food combo (tasting menu) if you can, min. 2 ppl. A bit more expensive than generic Laos cuisine available in town but a whole different league. Still great value. ???????????? - Andreas Stenberg
One of the best place for marketing. Will get almost everything you need in your kitchen. Can bargain abit. - Daniel Longkumer
Great snacks, staff, and location with the terrace overlooking the river. Perfect for breakfast or even a few hours of work. - Rene
