Although this is a Whitbread chain pub , don't be put off. The ale was good, the pub food too, and service was attentive efficient and all done politely with a smile.
Get the "Smothered Chicken " it's tres-bon.
Too crowded on saturdays, apparently they doublebook and get everyone wait in the pub for an hour
