A very beautiful view of the surrounding mountains from the eating area. The guesthouse is clean and very big and the staff can speak English too. Food here is good as well .
Halfway's charm lies in the social vibe and great view from the dining deck. The fact that the rooms/beds aren't the best and service varies won't matter - everyone stops by Halfway anyway.
The view from the dorm is great! Not worth getting a private room for 4 times the price, dorm view is better anyway! Beautiful location, good but pricey food.

Here you can leave the Gorge (get am transfer), stay overnight or keep on hiking. Food was good and reasonable priced. - ALF
Great place to stay overnight in Tiger Leaping Gorge. Rooms are comfy, but walls very thin (if you are a soft sleeper). Dinner and general atmosphere were very friendly. Naxi family-> THG 4 to 5 hours - ALF
