The building was a former residential palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur, hence known as Jaipur House. The butterfly-shaped building with a central dome built in 1936, designed by Sir Arthur Bloomfield

Monday closed i believe. Indians 10 bucks. Foreigners with student ID card also 10 bucks. Else 200 i think. No Photography allowed inside. But some are so hilarious, u wud wanna click ;)

Well maintained & a peaceful place . Good collection of paintings & sometimes good art/sculptures exhibitions too. Best part it's an accessible structure & wheel chairs r also provided at the entrance.

Collection includes Amrita shergill, Souza, raza, anjolie ela menon, satish gujral, Rabindranath Tagore and of course mf hussain.. The new wing is spacious and spectacular

Just 1 wish that i shld have clicked pics from my cellphone.Some drawings are so miserable,i would quote this"Draw some random ass drawings, then you call it art ,Provided its drawn by a notable person

You can leave your bag and valuable in a locker right next to ticket counter. They will give you key . You can see the gallery and india gate and come back to collect it .

Its collection of more than 14,000 works includes artists such as Thomas Daniell, Abanindranath Tagore, Rabindranath Tagore , as well as foreign artists , apart from sculptures by various artists .

Marvelous collection of Indian art from different periods. The works of Amrita Sher-Gil are the best!

Must see ...specially the 2nd floor...some great masterpieces....plus the entree fee is rs1...:P

Nice gallery they create stuff from waste really like their steel utensils statue .
