Enjoy some Port Wine while you are checking in. The room decoration is a little old fashion, but everything is pretty new and conserved. The breakfast is awesome, try getting a rate which includes it.

It's a bit of a stretch on foot but follow Avenida da Boavista all the way to the sea (to the right) for a wonderful ocean view, beach and fresh seafood restaurants. - John Goncalves

Public walking area along the river with lots of restaurants and shops. Avoid the one in front, backstreeta are also beautiful and with better restaurants. Great to see and experience the town. - Adrijana Husić
