Surpassed expectations. Military ID = free entrance into the park itself. Hiking trails = free to all. On site Blacksmith=unique souvenir. Explore mine shaft , gardens , grounds & amazing architecture !
I enjoyed seeing the beautiful estate grounds, the metalsmith and the mine shaft but the lengthy speaking tour was pretty dry for the 4 and 6 year olds we had in tow. Still, a fascinating look back.
Great place for photos. Be sure to step down in the mineshaft. The tour is okay for adults, opt for the short movie if you have young ones, or follow the self-guided tour . Great trails , bring a picnic
This State Park is amazing! It totally exceeded my expectations! Docent tour of house and then the mine by Bob - he's awesome. Plan to go back to Filoli to see how the Bournes lived! ???? ????
Explore the biggest, oldest, and richest mine from California's past. See some of the 367 miles of mine shafts and check out the beautiful owner's cottage and surrounding gardens .
You can go into the mine shaft !
Great place to hike
At $7 a person, and with it raining, we decided not to go in!
It's a great place for a hike
Don't forget to go down the mine
Totally worth the $7.
I like taking my dog here. There is a dog park that is usually empty. Sometimes the Frisbee golf course has some real losers doing bad things. Just a warning. Nice playgrounds and basketball court. - Robert Wilton
Incredibly peaceful oasis just a few miles outside of Nevada City. Stop here first to stretch your legs after the 2 1/2 hour drive from the Bay Area. - Ashley Rose
They have a great chair latte. I like to get it half sweet half spicy - Amanda Younger
