Gorgeous views and pleasant hiking up this section of the wall. Got here by 980 bus from Dongzhimen to Miyun bus terminal and then hired a car from there (51 bus is also an option).
From Beijing: first head for Dongzhimen station, look for the closest bus station and get on 快970 bus . Get off in the last station and just across the street hop on bus #51 until the last stop.
The Eastern section of Simatai Great Wall has been closed since June, 2010. It will reopen in May 2014. Read more
