Worth a visit if you are hitting Hiroshima . Take the train-->ferry and be sure to go during high tide . Allow for 3-4 hours to wander the shops, eat fresh oysters , and explore the shrine .

must-go landmark at Hiroshima , better to go in the morning to avoid the crowd. The ferry has special route for closer view from 9am-4pm

High tide or low, it's equally as pretty. I came during low tide , closer to when the sun was setting. Under the setting sun, the ferry ride looked spectacular and the O-Torii gate was just as grand

One of the most photographed places in Japan. When you come during the tide it can be beautiful, otherwise it’s just overcrowded

何度か訪れている宮島・厳島神社 ですが、この日は初めて干潮で歩いて大鳥居の下まで歩いて行けました。大鳥居の柱にはたくさんの硬貨が刺さっていました。まもなく帰途の時刻には潮が満ち始めていて、とても風情があります。羽田からの山口宇部便あるいは大分便搭乗時に上空を飛ぶ飛行機 からこの大鳥居が確認できた時はとても感動的です。

干潮時 は大鳥居のそば まで行くことが出来ます。この大鳥居の根本は海底深く埋められているのではなく、大鳥居自身の重さだけで建っています。

干潮時 には鳥居 に触れることができるからといって鳥居 に硬貨を差し込んだり、逆に差し込まれた硬貨をパクるのはやめましょう

1875年に建てられた9代目の大鳥居。高さ約16m、重さ60tで、木造の鳥居 として国内最大級。老朽化や破損に伴い、2019年6月から約3年半かけて行われた大規模修繕工事が無事に完了。職人 の手で丁寧に塗り直され、鮮やかで美しい朱色の姿を取り戻した。

Prévoir une bonne journée et des baskets si vous voulez explorer Miyajima. Hors mis le Tori, temple , et points de vue , il faut monter jusqu'au mont Misen attention ça grimpe mais ça vaut le coup .
