From Paradiso it's a nice ride with the Funicular up to near the top of Monte San Salvatore. By foot you reach the Chapel with a Terrace (entrance backside). Views from here are simply breathtaking.

Stunning view over Lake Lugano. If you want to hike down, choose your way carefully as some ways are very steep and require extra equipment.

What a great experience. If you are visiting Lugano Monte San Salvatore is a must. Enjoyed riding the aireal tramway, at the top of the mountain where you will see a spectacular views .

Absolutely stunning views of Lugano lake . In summers, mostly second week of july the funicular runs till 11:30 pm in the night.

Wow, what a view ! Not long hiking from the Paradiso city . But you can also use the cablecar

The hike down is a bit steep at times , but very doable. Took about 2 hours. Mostly pebbly and in the woods except the last leg.

Bring enough water if you're going to take the walk to the summit . I haven't found any springs along the trail .

Visit Monte San Salvatore for a panoramic view of Lugano and surroundings. Don't forget to go to the Terraze Panoramico on top of the old San Salvatore church to get the 360 degree view .

The view was great! We took the funicular up and hiked down. It took us about 2 hours.
