Taxis will try to charge you 100-150 from Tiananmen Square at night for drive back to hotel . Keep walking further away until you find a metered taxi .

Bring address card from room for when you head in to city - not all taxis know this location.

Taxi charged us 10 RMB extra for early morning ride we scheduled through hotel front desk after checkout. Driver says hotel scheduled ride via app that has extra cost. No mention by front desk.
