Walking distance from chandni chowk metro station and Red fort. I had been during Ramzan. The crowd was so much that its a delight to watch. Have food @ karim . Parcel it.
Also, now that you're here and want lip-smacking non-veg food, do try Karim 's or Jawahar in the lane opposite to Gate #1. Classics.

Non-muslims can't enter the mosque after sunset so time your visits accordingly. 👍
The biggest mosque i've ever seen. That was awesome!
Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal,in the year 1650 CE and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is the largest and best-known mosque in India .
Definitely worth 100rs to go to the top and take photos!
Muslim (even to pray) or not, you still need to pay INR 300 for entry fee, as long as you are a tourist

A beautiful and historic building but cleanliness is neglected
Scams abound. Ignore the guy trying to act as your tour guide, he speaks no English anyway. Robes/sarongs are free, don't pay for them. Flip them off if they ask for money for watching over ur shoes
About twenty five thousand people can pray. It's wonderful when pigeons fly around the dome.It is a must see in Delhi!
The largest mosque in Asia. Must visit. Brilliant for photography
Far from being a muslim temple . The imam of the mosque is surely a mob & an anti-muslim
Kallan sweets, opposite of jama masjid. Best sweets!!!
Can't enter the mosque wearing shorts , so take extenders if you want to get in.
Don't miss Nihari at Karim 's and Biryani at Al-Jawahar! And the lanes that lead to the anti-social paradoxes of Delhi.
Beautiful building and courtyard
Its better walking to avoid the block
Women are not allowed inside after sunset . So plan wisely.
They wouldn't let me in without paying R300 for the (broken) camera on my phone. It's theoretically free admission for tourists , but in practice they'll turn you away unless you pay the fee. :(
Jama Masjid, the largest and the most glorious mosque in India .
It is more about the life around the mosque than the mosque itself
Tickets only needed for cameras . Beware of guards charging for number of people rather than cameras .
Seeking a place I would come full
Too good excellent
Don't trust the "guide". He'll try to charge you after telling you that tha mosque is really a mosque .
