The centre, which opened on June 5th 2001 by Queen Elizabeth II, sits on the South bank of the River Clyde. It is composed of three principal buildings; Science Mall , IMAX cinema & Glasgow Tower .
Good value and entertaining for kids and adults alike! The area by the river is also a great spot for photographers with this, the BBC building, Hydro and Clyde Arc all nearby.
Looking for something for little kids (and big kids?) Great indoor option on a rainy day with so many interactive elements for everyone to get involved with. Lovely walk along the river also.
What make this place so special is that the science is so simplified that makes it fun to explore. Additionally, the staff are so friendly so welcoming and very helpful. IMAX and Shows are great
Little kids (and big kids) all love this place. Great indoor option on a rainy day with so many interactive elements for everyone to get involved with. Lovely walk along the river also.
This is one of the best Glasgow attractions to take the kids. Explore the three buildings (IMAX Cinema , Science Mall , Glasgow Tower ) to learn about science and technology the fun and exciting way.
For those who grew up wanting to wander in #BeakmansWorld #lab this is the place for you. Oh! And there is an #IMax theatre just next to it.
My son and I like to spend a good part of Sunday here following up with a film at the magic IMAX cinema .. Season ticket definitely worth it.
Rediscover the joys and curiosities of science in this amazing science centre. Visit the IMAX, the Science Theatre , and the observation tower and learn all the way!
Lovely place! It is very entertaining, check out this photo on Plaza Science, a social network for people who loves science and photography Read more
The best science museum that I've been to! Really organized and fun! Spent one entire evening there and would go back again!
We love the science centre! its full of amazing creations created by amazing people! it also has the IMAX cinema attached to it! Go see it! Its great!
The Center consists of an egg-shaped titanium-covered IMAX theatre and an interactive Science Mall with floor-to-ceiling windows – a bounty of discovery for young, inquisitive minds.
Check out the planetarium , where the Scottish Power Space Theatre brings the night sky to life and a Virtual Science Theatre takes you on a 3-D molecular journey.
Has a dedicated picnic area , so don't be afraid to take one and save some money!
A place to go with your kids, not too much fun for adults.
My three year old love it here - and very accessible - particularly if you find the huge lift just behind the ticket desk rather than the tiny other lift
Look out for the illusions (like rearranging your features through a 3-D head-scan) and the cloud chamber, showing tracks of natural radiation.
Go crazy and wake up the kid in you. Full of hands-on exhibits . Many kids though, can get very crowded
Very entertaining, funny and interactive.
Good value for money . Very interesting and amazing views of Glasgow!
Café food not bad and very reasonably priced eg cake £1.50, soup £2.50 (June 2015)
Book things early and organise your day to make sure things go smoothly.
The season ticket is great value for money .
One of Scotland’s must-see visitor attractions and home of Nina and The Neurons.
You need to see the planetarium and the IMAX theatre !
Quite a fun science museum clearly designed for young children. Maybe not the best idea for impatient adults.
The cloakroom is unattended so don’t bring a big jacket or you’ll be well sweaty.
If you go into the IMAX show up really early, more so with the bigger films . Queues get really big
Free on street parking nearby, no need to pay for the car park
Like this part;)
Great place! Take your kids here!
The right place where spend some time with your sons
Chronic queue fatigue. Run like a communist country on a go-slo.
Be sure to catch one of the shows in the Science Theatre .
Watch a show on IMAX
Good but over priced
Took two and three year olds and they loved. So much so we bought a season ticket .
Don't bother taking your kids on a Sunday to IMAX they don't bother opening the concession shop but still charge you full rate, plus is run by council so is why it sucks.
,2 for 1 this weekend!
Not recommended if under the age of ten.
Get there early and try and get a seat near the back in towards the middle for the best view - Aaron Bassett
Great views, it's nice they help you figure out where the major monuments and points of interest are. - Valentina Pisani
Really interesting museum with loads to see and do, all housed in a great building too! Won European museum of the year in 2013. - Tristan Comley
Amazing museum in the heart of Glasgow Green Park. Might not look all that big, but just as good as other museums in city and a lot to see - Clark Gillies
Great place for concerts... The most well organised bars I've ever experienced at a gig! And don't worry if you get hungry as the burger stand will sort you out! - Connie Hurley
