Fun to sit at the counter and order Hershey ice cream . The milk shakes and sundaes are excellent. They have original equipment from the 1960s, it adds to the experience of stepping back in time.

We stopped on our way to Florida. Ordered the catfish meal. It was really delicious. Fried but worth it. Also had a salad (Tommy's, I think) and pulled pork .. Catfish was the best.

Back in the day, Horne's was a chain that rivaled Stuckey's. Some had hotels . All had yellow rooves. This is the last remaining one with a gas station . Only two survive total, the other in Florida.
