The big tent, north of the stadium has good and cheap food. Other food options can be found in Xin'ao shopping centre a little further to the North.
Same souvenirs different prices. Do bargain for best price. Careful of those 'pantomin character', take a pix with 1 and charged 10rmb. Nothing is free :)
Best time to visit this place is during late evening when all the lights are ON.
The river on the side can get icy when it is cold.

Absolutely incredible steelwork, amazing to see it up close and how it's intertwined. The interior is like any stadium but still so neat to see the Olympic rings everywhere, history placards, and more - Andrew C

Nice exhibition/convention hall. next to Olympic Park. Both CNCC Grand 4* & Intercontinental 5* hotels very close. Intercontinental is much nicer. - Alex C
