Plenty of German beer on tap here. Get yourself a stein of the good stuff. I always fall for the sausage platter here and regret how full it makes me
What an awesome place - try the sausage platter to get a taste of Germany - good value too, especially for London!
Essentially an indoor German Christmas Market with more German and less Christmas . Great beer and huge meals for less than a tenner. Get there before 5pm on a Friday if you want a seat.
Spatzle with cheese & bacon and Jager Schnitzel . I truly recommend these dishes. Be aware that Schnitzel is massive but very tasty! Lovely international staff .
Fantastic. Recent trip to Germany made me hunt this place out. Paulaner seems to be the main drink. The food or more specifically the sausages were great too
Schnitzel and sauerkraut joy! Tables get booked but you can usually get a place.
Haha love it, German beer bar in London, very nice place and hey: they serve Kölsch :)))
You don't have to choose red cabbage or sauerkraut as the menu says, they'll give you both if you ask. Worth doing as both are really good
My fav german pub in London. I love their wiße beer and their sausages are awesome
My fav german pub in London. I love their wiße beer and their sausages are awesome
Th half chicken is not simply delicious but huge as well . Not your usual Nandos half chicken size that you easily eat anytime
If you're German beer novice, stick to the first lager on the menu. It's quite an easy drink, especially if you're going to go for the mammoth 2-pint Stein!
Really loud but with lots of good beer , tasty sausages ... It works. "The sauerkraut and the red cabbage were boring" says the Hamburger girl.
Great selection of beers and pub food German style , but gets really loud even when it's not fully packed
Great selection of German brews on ta p(no Bitburger or Augustiner though!!!). As for the food, I've had better German in Tokyo to be honest. Do not order the schweinbraten and sauerkraut .
Great German food , I'd recommend the pork roast , plus a broad selection of German beer .
Get your food in early so you can enjoy it properly - those 2pt steins creep up on you!
The sausage plate is a large one but worth to try it once. Also always go for the stein ;)
Wouldn't class this place as a restaurant , more like a beer hall with pretty good food. There is a weird smell too. Overall good with guy mates.
Fantastic underground bar with a great selection of German beers
Cute waitress with costume ! The first ever beer I like!(cider person)
Excellent! Great choice, great quality and great service :)
Large tables for big groups and quality traditional beer and food
It's amazing! I tried the selection of sausages and it was SO TASTY
Great beer ; worst wurst I've had. How could they mess up sausages so much? The paprika and beef sausages were like eating chunks of salt. The red cabbage and saukraut were dry, and lacking in vinegar.
Food is pretty good, but the beer is the reason to come here. Lots of interesting brews that go nicely with the food.
3 October: Drink on German Unity Day in Katzenjammers, a re-creation of a Bavarian Bierkeller specialising in the finest German beer and food.
Decent food, decent beer . The beer cellar vibe tips over into more of a beer basement .
Great tucked away Bierkeller . They stop serving steins one hour before closing, presumably because those that buy them at that time aren't able to finish them!
Get the Munich roast pork with red cabbage and dumplings !!!
Amazing music and atmosphere! Definite must go!
Great food, very German. BUT the service is a nightmare. We had to pay while we were eating - the waitress told it's their "policy". So there you go, great food but they have no idea about service.
Quite rowdy, but good German beer and a fun brass band
The sausage and chips was good
Recommend on a Friday and Saturday when it gets liveliest with the band!
Environment, service, food, beer
Good german food and massive glasses of beer !
The resident Oompah Brass band play most Friday nights. Expect Oompah pop covers.
Go downstairs for the real entertainment.
Get the, uh, beer ? Can't go wrong with a stein of Paulaner
Great selection of german beer but very noisy , don't expect to be able to hear a word anybody says. Filled with men!
Great dark beer , fantastic stodgy german food . Brass band on a Friday night. A bit noisy though. Avoid if you want a quiet chat
You HAVE to go for a stein when you're here. Ordering any less would be criminal.
Large beer mugs!
Great German beers on tap ... proper German food on the menu... amazing place...
DO NOT PAY A DEPOSIT. The deposit is a total lie, you won't get it back. A group of us paid a total of £80 deposit which they said would be taken off the bill, it never was and they wont refund.
Do not send them any money before going as they will not refund you or put it towards your food/drink bill. They keep it as a fee and they are impossible to reach.
Excellent band! Get a table near the front.
Go for the live German music on a Friday night
Get rowdy with steins and a brass band
Mountains of food, with steins of beer. The mashed potatoes are really good, and so are the sausages. - Jonas Voss
Great place, the mojito and burger were awesome. The staff is super friendly - Cathy C
Fantastic array of draught lager and ale. Worth stopping for one or two in. - Jangla
Great choices: dosa, curry, koshari street, amarettis from bread ahead. almond cookies from cinnamon tree. - Ingrina Carson
