The oldest wooden structure standing in Japan , a must see for anyone in the area. The temple grounds also have museums inside so there is a lot to see. It is a far walk from the station but worth it!

Historically very important as the oldest temple in Japan , but not as interesting as Todaiji or Yakushiji ¥1500 for entry to three areas -the main temple , treasure museum and “dream hall” Yumedono

Oldest wooden building in the world!

601年 頃の聖徳太子らの建立。世界最古の木造建築 だが、天智天皇年間に一度焼失してるがそれでも世界最古である。しかし金堂は昭和期の工事中の失火により大部分が焼失した。後に文化財防火デーをつくるきっかけとなった。しかし殆どは飛鳥時代の雄大な伽藍を残すものであり、殆どの建物で国宝 、重文の指定、1991年 には日本初の世界文化遺産を姫路城と共に登録が決定された。

流石に境内は広大です。拝観料1500円は確かに高めですが、大宝蔵院 や夢殿など3箇所観られます。

世界最古の木造建築 物。A.D.601年 、推古天皇の時代に聖徳太子(正式名は厩戸皇子、厩戸王など)が建立したと言われている。ユネスコ世界遺産 (文化遺産)にも認定。正岡子規の俳句「柿食へば 鐘 が鳴るなり 法隆寺 」は全国的にも有名。

正岡子規の俳句の地。「鐘 がなるなり」の「なり」は伝聞推定の助動詞。ここでは、「鐘 がなっているのが聞こえた」というような意味になる。

世界文化遺産の法隆寺 に初訪問！日本最古の木造建築 だけあって、なかなか趣きがあります。

悠久的历史，相比之下我家乡也有一座建于唐朝的法隆寺，现在只剩一座经幢

日本最初の、世界遺産 ！

法隆寺 駅からバスあり。7分180円で10分間隔(休日のみ？)。歩くと20分だけど、夏は結構辛い。

40年 振りの奈良。。。暑い。。。
